  Over the years, one thing I’ve learned about myself is this: I need to hear things more than once before they really take root. Maybe you’re the same way. Recently, I was praying about what I should be working on in my walk with the Lord—and what others might be experiencing in their own lives too. That same morning during my Bible reading, I came across Matthew 13 —the Parable of the Sower. Then I picked up a book on Christian finances, and the section I read was titled “Good Soil,” referencing Luke 8:15. Whenever God starts putting the same message in front of me from different directions, I’ve learned to pause and think: “Alright… maybe I should pay attention here.” But if I’m being honest—I didn’t. I got busy. Life moved on. I didn’t stop to reflect. Then Friday came. I sat down with a group of Christian men around a coffee shop table for Bible study.
